Question for folks who know about this stuff:

I'm trying to crack 3hr on an mtb (just because.)

What is the best strategy to follow? I read somewhere to take the first 30k easy and then push it from there, but when you are trying to make a time, 'taking it easy' is not so easy.

Got any (reasonable! and simple.) suggestions for me? Find a group that is not maxing me out and follow that as long as I can and then see how I feel?

Seeded I goup.

I think the (possible) wind on N14 is a bit more relevant on a MTB. So you must get into, and stay in someone's slip there. Dont be a hero- wait. Heartbreak hill will be where your MTB comes into play.

Lost a bit of track with this thread ... is there still any options to improve ones seeding this late?

Back in GG and a bit worried being out so late in the heat ...

Any tips will help ... and above board of course :)

When you go to pick up your number go to the reseeding desk. They will reseed you as long as you have done seeding races in the past year.

Any other ladies in group I?

You can get reseeded at number collection, I just hope you like standing in a queue.

Best you take somebody with that can bring you breakfast / lunch, etc.

Yip. But riding with my sister who should do a sub 3 as well. I am seeded F but dropping back to G with her. Hope her legs will have a good day. If she has a good day we will crack 3 hours no problem.

Cool. Mind if I tag along?
