Our preferred stops, and I can recommend them.

State 5, Greenside.

Motherland, Dunkeld.

The Grind, Rosebank.

Vovo Telo, Parkhurst.

Fournos Little Falls.

The ones we "forced" to use, but I would not really recommend them.

Bidon in Cradle

Mugg n Bean Little Falls

Europa (or whatever its called) at Broadacres

Pizza Vino Rock Cottage

Won't stop there again.

I now stop at ************** where there is good and safe parking and I have a peaceful breakfast and a cold draught after my cradle ride.

Edit: Removed the name so that it is not over run by Bidon refugees......

They are the original and best. Great milkshakes too.

Aroma in Lynnwood, Pta. Hands down best coffee ever - fullstop. And it's located nicely if you are on your way out to Rosemary or the district roads for a long ride.

The pizza is great too!

Ha. That doesn't mean those places make good coffee.

It depends very much on the barista at the specific shop - nothing wrong with the equipment or coffee they have.... but barista capability is very variable - especially in the smaller in-store sites.

But come visit my place... then you will understand... :)

Seattle make damn good coffee, better than Starbucks IMO.

Haven't tried Starbucks yet. There's a Starbucks in Durbs but I'm not going to drive 30 odd kilometers for a cup of java - if I'm in Durbs for a particular reason then I might try them out.

When the Starbucks opened at Mall of Africa, people queued out the door for what seemed like hours to try it. Ridonkulous.

Also agreed. Coffee and Starbucks are two word not to be used in the same sentence. One day there is a good Barista and the coffee is okay, the next day it's k@k. Not paying R40 for coffee that is horrible.
