I have some Avids, some Shimano, some Hayes, some Ashima and some Hopes. They ALL work fine except for the crap pistonless Ashima...

I hope to change them all to Hope. Hope FTW.

I have Avids and although from a braking perspective they are impressive. What is not impressive is how since new they have vibrated and make a heck of a noise under braking. Sorry, not a fan.

Try new (better) rotors and bed them in properly.

Yiss, I reckon I am sommer going to go take my SS or a spin in the mud. Just to feel the brakes working. It is gooing to be lekker, especially after hearing that they will fail on a downhill and I will die.

We have all been there, that feeling when you are going 45km/h+ and you expect the bike to stop when you pull the lever and nothing, so lets pull the other one, and it is like squeezing a sponge, can't say that avid doesn't give you an adrenalin rush.
