Uni Posted October 10, 2013 Share glad you ok. one of the reasons why i've decided NOT to buy second hand :-( it applies to buying from any stranger.Years ago I went on my own to buy a bike from some guy from bidorbuy - and I relied on the fact that he had many positive ratings - but those days are gone. Tell them you'll meet at the local police station. If you don't hear from them again, you know they're dodgy. I posted my bike for sale and was contacted by an Nick Edwards (that is if its his real name) I agreed to meet up so he can look at it. To my suprise he pulled a gun on me and took my pride and joy! This all happened very fast and all I could think of is dont shoot me! I am lucky that I got of lightly unharmed from this but now Im minus my bike. Not to mention how am I gonna explain this to my insurance. Please guys be extra careful out there! My lesson learnt from you Ride4Life either to meet up will arrange to meet at Busy place eg mall or bike shop and police station is better that way. Now...This goes back to the whole reputation argument to make thehub a safe trading place. Things that need to be considered:1. Reputation points2.
