That bike is very cool - looks like the cousin of my On One. The fat tyres are a good idea. The Maxxis 2.4s on mine are also nice and big, but probably not quite as fat as the Conti's. #26aintdead

put the orange marshguard and purple chainring on today. luckily they both match the existing orange and purple. All colour coded now in that regard.  The gold accents in the saint kit got me thinking about a nitride coated(gold) kmc chain...but that'll have to wait till month end.

I like it so much i want to sleep next to it. :w00t: ive always upgraded bikes but this is the first bike i've built from the frame up. dunno why i waited this long to do it. yes it cost more but is makes you love it so much more.

nice thing with doing a full build yourself is that if you want to change over to another frame later, and all your current parts are compatible, it becomes an easy decision as you already like what you have and are happy to just use it again .... so saving you money (false justification, but it works for me :P )

Yep - My HT build was a straight swop from my previous bike  - bargain!

Ok.....so I'm really missing my HT and been looking around for a bike and ridden a few 120-140mm bikes.

I would love a steel frame but prices are crazy so decided on a alu frame.

Seems like the above ASKET ticks all my boxes.

130mm fork.

It climbs ok.

is not too heavy.

Well specked.

A blast on the downhills.

I like the geometry.

2 bottle cages.

the 27.5 is red

Very nice but this is what my money would go towards, if I had money for a nice LT HT that is........

I know you ride a reign but I am thinking a LT HT would be more fun than my current enduro rig.........

100% Steve - Also gonna treat myself to an aggressive HT. My Knolly is just way too much bike for general rides and I reckon I'd ride more (Even uphill) if I had something lighter and nimble and a 140mm aggressive HT will suit my needs perfectly. Have most of the build bits already so just deciding on a frame.

It was between the Marin San Quentin, Commencal Meta AM HT and Airdrop Bitmap. Marin is out though unfortunately as they don't have a frame only option so I nearly pulled the trigger on the commie last week but then the Airdrop got thrown in the mix and I'm seriously having an internal war. I do love a bit of a boutique brand.

I know what the Commie will cost delivered to my door but the Airdrop is a bit of a plus minus situation and already a  bit more than the commie. Also the warranty with Commencal will be easier if anything goes wrong as there is local support.

Decisions...
