was my first half marathon, was fun but didn't expect so many people!. Powasol was my biggest complaint. Booked online, waited 3 hours for my bike only to get it back still full of mud. Had to put it in the car like that and wash it properly when I got home...Wont be doing that again

I heard online bookings got preference... Eish

Hey guys, this was a real Mtb race with a bit of mud added. Any bets if it was a dry race there probably would have been enough water at the water points. Too many people washing their bikes with "Drinking" water without consideration for the riders behind them. Same probably applies to the Powasol cleaning service. Was a good tough day out in the country.

+1 Agreed, it was a good tough race and I will definitely be back next year.

The results are a mess...........they said on the day that times would be up by last night. Today there are two sheets for marathon, one is in incomplete the other mixes ladies and men.......my results are not even on.......aaaaaarrrrggghh.

So many if did not win BUT we would really like to know how we did..

How accurate are those results? I heard the results was a bit of a shambles?

Results don't look right to me yet.

My own experience bears this out: They didn't pick up my board as a I crossed the line. Then they scanned it in manually 3 minutes later, then they had to write down my details as they didn't have my name on their database (despite the fact that I've had it for a few years now and race a few times a year...) and my number on the results page isn't my race number.

#water was a problem from the word go, we were on the ultra, so the first(ish) riders to go through, and even then it was finished. There was a MOERSE tank 500 m up the road though, why not put the h2o point there

Agree C1974, just a little bit of extra thought could have gone in to make that water point more effective. Bet they get it right next time, if there is a next time. As far as I could tell we rode on plenty of private land.

We had lunch at Anvil after the race, there was an oldish guy there apparently looking for his wife, whom we presume got lost on the route. Anybody have anymore details? One of the tv crew was out looking for her on his quad, but before we could offer help someone else gave him and his bike a lift back to the race venue.

I wasnt timed as I crossed the line, cant find myself in the results...fail!!! Will have to start in last batch again next time...argh. will make sure the guys manually swipe me and take down my details next time...

Yup, the posted results, even though preliminary look like a complete dog's breakfast, I hope that if these guys are going to be doing Advendurance events timing going forward that this is not the standard to be set?

Looks to me to be a huge leap backwards?? Guys please prove me wrong!

Any idea when all the results will be up ? 20km is missing! Some lists seem to not have everybody. Missing a few friends that i know did finish the race..
