I find it difficult to sleep not knowing the venue and possible problems on the day. Easy walking distance to Diepsloot. Saturday night. Tent in the middle of an open field. Car. Expensive bike. Cell. Laptop maybe? Yip, sounds like a great idea to camp out there. Count me in.

A female beating Julius Cobbett and other unlikely results. Sadly it is quite easy to clean up most results but it is obviously not a priority. Sure, we all say that it doesn't matter - but it is surely important to the timing company? 32000 results will be interesting.

I remember at last year's Burger road race there was an oke (proper backmarker with the boep, mtb and camelback) seeded with the pro's right at the front due to a mistake in a mtb event that was not "cleaned up" by Racetec. It was a bit of a joke to everybody that saw him (including the guy himself) but it's a bit worrying that these kind of mistakes can actually affect seedings

Keep the boozing to a minimum night before race hey.....

I know its flippen early but rather that than sitting in the traffic and have to park way off. I will go in check the venue out Saturday morning early to see where will be a good parking spot. Its going to be a long day.Hmmmm... Saturday reccie of the venue seems like a fantastic idea....

Rode with my number. Racetec shows I rode, while my chip was not even near JHB...

They say there will be a mat to record this, but I reckon it will get iffy with 32000 chips into the mix.
