the profile says road climb, but the map suggests its off the actual tar portion and going up to a hill of some sort. tbh, not sure. Maybe rapunzel can help us: she has the QOM for that climb.

edit: definitely dirt/jeep track climb. this is one of the pics along the route.

That is an innocuous jeep track on the Meerendal trail. If you're looking for something steep in the area then try hillcrest red (http://www.strava.com/segments/2289519) or the track to the mast at the top of contermanskloof (http://www.strava.com/segments/2407858) both of which are over 20% at it's steepest. Both are jeep track climbs with challenging surfaces.

That climb to the Contermans Kloof mast made me get off and walk every time

Contermanskloof mast climb is one of my favourite rides, go up on one side, bomb down the single track on the other side, climb the other side and race down again to where you started.

The little steep section with the cement jeep tracks used to defeat me 9 out of 10 times, never could quite gather the speed to go over the holes/ruts. Mixed emotions now that they properly cemented that short section, less walking but missing the thrill when I make it that 1 out of 10 times!
