Do I have to go fetch it?  That might just seal the deal, I've never been to the SI...

So, how much does a divorce cost these days anyway..?

Oh man! the adventure up from Christchurch is amazing! That alone would be worth the cost of the bike, hahaha!

Divorces on the other hand are on sale (like Briscoes)... 50% off everything!

I'm torn between shipping the bike up now so I can start building the rally kit over onto the new one, or waiting for the weather to warm u and some of the mountain passes to open so that I can ride it back.

Some of the best experiences I have had in NZ have been while on the back of a bike in the middle of nowhere!

The new (to me) pony safely in the stable.

post-10758-0-71816700-1565644707_thumb.jpg

2016 Husqvarna FE450 with only 23hrs on it.

Now just to get my other pony (2015 Husky Fe350 Rally Lite) in the same stable and build over the rally kit.

For now though I have installed a road-legal kit for it and am about to send it to the compliance testers to get it road registered.

Also got some goodies for it in the way of more road friendly tyres.

I'll be installing a Tubliss tyre system

And some of this rubber:

Motoz Tractionator RallZ

I currently run the slightly more aggressive Motoz Desert tyres on my other Husky. They're great but pretty noisy on tarmac. I'm keen to see how these rally ones perform all-round.

Torpedo7 make bike jacks?

hahah yup!

I got that from the Torpedo7 clearance store in Newmarket for $50.

I think they're $100 regular price

But T7 is slowly reducing the amount of moto stuff they brand/sell so things like those moto tie-down straps (as seen behind the front wheel) are no longer available. (I also got those from the clearance store, 4 for $15)

I had the Tractionator Adventure on the front of my bike for just around 400kms. I cannot get on with that tyre. Rock solid in the corners (especially on tar) but I I hate the way it tips in, dirt or tar. I tried various pressure settings, I typically like running the tyre soft , 1.6 to 1.7 bar, but I tried right up to 2.2. Anyways, it is for sale............back to Pirelli MT21 for me. On the various forums the guys swear by the Motoz. I find them heavy and stiff as a board, however, that desert one looks worth trying. Edited by Spokey

Squirly front wheels are no joke! And they were my biggest consideration when opting for the Tractionator RallZ tyre. The Tractionator Desert tyres I had previousy used have a definite more dirt orentated design. But on the road they whine like a spoilt bratt on an MTV reality show, and in on wet roads they can be more slippery than a Gupta.

I did suffer 1 front wheel wash-out on the Desert tyres while taking an off-camber loose-gravel-over-hardpack corner, but a lot of that could have been attributed to rider error.

These RallZ ones should be quieter on the road, less dodgy on wet roads, but may require a little more caution on the marbles (something we have a lot of on NZ dirt roads).

In order of offroad capability (lowest to highest, according to Motoz):

Demo’d A street triple 765 today....holy heck it’s an insane hooligan machine.

166 kilos, 120 odd bhp and just pure fun.

Now to sleep an make a decision

Nice bike for the U.K.

I had a 600 which was supposed to be the perfect size for U.K. riding but I found it just a bit short on poke for long trips, too big for city riding.  Figured that if I did that again I'd go bigger for proper riding, and get a potent little two stroke scooter for town. (Town for me was London.)
