Any Adventure bikers here?

I sold the MV and bought a GS. 1st long ride yesterday, Pretty sure I've lost some hearing with the wind noise. Ear plugs helped but not by much.

Any recommendations about the wind noise?

What ear plugs you using?

I swapped from Alpines to cheap clicks ones (The blue with the three "ears") made a huge difference

That's adventure bikes generally. Noise levels go up, and even more so if wearing adventure helmets.

Depending on your height there are a couple of ways to tackle this. Taller screens, better improved ear plugs. Some even advocate shorter screens.

Ultimately it will be a noisier experience though.

I bought some cheapos from Dischem (picture later) and some expensive ones called NoNoise from Flying Brick. I alternate them. The Dischem ones work better (Insert them cutoff end first) as they block out most noise but the No Noise are OK for shorter trips.

Pienaar Brothers in Paarden Eiland also have a big range for industrial work. I tried some, similar to those above and they didn't work for my ears. I think ear shape is a factor.
