You want to see the exhaust systems that he builds. Got him to do me a quote for a exhaust for the Rocket. It would of have been awesome but way above my budget. SA still has some really skilled people. These pics are from a client who makes replica Ferrari California's, the bodywork is hand shaped alum sheeting. A puncture in some areas while riding alone makes me twitchy such that I run overly high pressures and the bikes skitter and bounce around. Hairy Posted November 25, 2022 Share I took a slight round trip this morning before work to pick up a brick sample (B) and then thought I would stop for coffee at Philadelphia (P). Unfortunately all the shops were still closed here, so I headed out after a quick pick and got some nice pastries to take home from Ou Muel outside Melkbos. This collection could have very well been done in the new week, when I pass right by Corobrick on the way to a site, but this morning was just calling for a quick trip before getting stuck into work. These backroads are really pretty awesome in the mornings. mazambaan, sawystertrance and Andrew_Smith

A while ago I passed a groupf of two-strokes stopped at a coffee shop. Great selection of bikes with RD 350s, a coupla Suzuki triples and even a Suzuki rotary. When I walked past about 30 mins later the guys were leaving and some had run out of patience and weere already gone while 3 of them were kicking away like crazy trying to get their bikes started. Man, it reminded me a of the old days... Stragely, though, I started out biking with a Yamaha 360 RT3 and can't remember ever even changing the plug. Lucky for sure. Belated reply... I had an RD350 in the mid to late eighties. It was one kick to start and never missed a beat until... one day the mysteriously not smoking exhaust revealed itself as a seized engine - at 140km/h. (the oil pump feed to the right cylinder had failed) Luckily I was quick enough to grab the clutch and she only skidded a few metres. After the engine cooled down I mansged to start and ride the bike again. So to me 2 strokes rock. Hairy, sawystertrance and RoddieJ
sawystertrance Posted November 29, 2022 Share Gee, was that a proper seize? Sounds more like a heat seize Headshot and Steven Knoetze (sk27)
