For those interested, the attached is the break down from the service book provided with costs. There were other specific points he noted he took care of that may be covered under a generic description of the attached.

Good luck reading my scribbles.

All in I think his pricing was good, and the simple fact that he did this over New Years was phenomenal.

I think you have found a Gem of an individual there…..and not a Gem Squash. Tis always nice to find reliable peeps to help with ones bikes.

So I take it you happy with the bike?

All in I would say yes.

The LED bulb upgrade exceeds my expectations

Brakes are far crisper than they have ever been.

Could be my imagination, though I am rather certain of it, but the bike is running cooler ... especially noticeable in slow city traffic and traffic lights.

Shifting is light and quick, combined with the newly set clutch, it makes for a fun experience if you were to hypothetically accelerate through the gears if you were hypothetically wanting to go rather quickly in as short a span of time as possible.

When pulling long in a gear, the "pull" is linear and consistent. In hindsight there were little flutters or dead spots before. This I will attribute to the blocked fueling and then hopefully backed up by the throttle body service.

Bike jumps to life quicker at startup.

That is a quick summary of what I am "feeling", but will settle in a bit more with her and see how she goes.

At the end of the day I am really happy.

motorcycle related.

We had a young chap come in to the dealership last week. I suspect he was up to some not so good intentions as he first asked about cars and then bikes, but his behaviour was suspicious.

Whilst he was at the bike he was joined by a young lady. He asked a few questions with the bike guys and then said he would just like to browse.

A few minutes later he climbs onto a BMW 1200 touring style bike (sorry dont know my bikes, it wasnt an adventure style bike and not a sports bike style either) on the used section. Next thing we hear a crash, he had tried to right the bike up from the kickstand and just continued to fall over in the opposite direction, taking a used NC750 down with him like dominos falling.

Fortunately the only damage to the bikes was a broken brake lever on the NC.

On another topic, a mate and I are thinking of taking a ride on Saddy over Bain's kloof and having a snack at bike forge. Anyone interested in joining in?

What time are you thinking of leaving/starting?

Can I assume no dirt, just tar?

SWAMBO has been giving me grief that she can't ride on the back of the Thruxton (damn, she found me out ;)  ),  so I'm thinking of selling and getting a Tiger 800XCX (probably 2017).

I don't ride enough to warrant buying a 2022/23 900 and a 1200 I think is too large (as are all Adventure orientated bikes).

At least your wife wants to get on the back of the bike ... mine is too chicken ... will have to tell her if she won't get on the back, I will find someone who will ... I am sure that would go down well ... right?
