Some would argue that as yeast is a single-celled organism that its use in brewing is non-vegan but it's a weak argument. Technically, beer is made from malted barley and or corn. A lot of people don't even classify cheese as vegetarian as many cheeses are made with rennet, an enzyme that comes from calves' stomach lining.Softer cheeses and other dairy products don't contain rennet.People really overcomplicate things ???? Hansa used to be my go-to beer for quite some time, maybe because it was my Grandmother's favourite beer before she passed away - now, Lion Lager used to be my dad's go-to beer before HE passed away, so that's just one reason why I've moved from Hansa to Lion. We have an Irish pub ideally located on the road into Gonubie (one way in/out) From there it's a nice 4km cool down home. I call it my recovery shake.
