Double the kj and more than double the carbs compared to castle lite. Also taking into account its *** tasting and more expensive, I shall stick to my Castle lite.

Yup, Castle Lites's are the only beers I can have 6 on the trot if I want. Related, bought Stella Artois for the first time yesterday, nice stuff.

The Lite means Light in total energy not alc. Or so I have been told. Amstel Lite R154 per case at makro Castle lite R169 at makro... Just don't gooi them on the floor.

I like beer, all kinds of beer (well most of them)

went on a random tasting this weekend while visiting mates in PTA (we don't get the same variety in EL)

Off the beers in the pic I only liked the 2M one, which by the way was the cheapest of the lot.

o ja a flavoured beer is not beer it's cooldrink and should be served in a long glass with ice, an umbrella and a straw.

super bock is also rather cheap, think it's portugeuse(so maybe also from moz). Someone must have hijacked a shipment of it somewhere.

I haven't seen any Urbock this year, but haven't really been looking. Anyone know if nambrews made it this year?

So I once spent a season in whistler, we drank lots of beer.

my canadian beer ratings

This is your mass produced, but apparently fancy beer beer. Made from glacier melt and hops pissed on by hibernating bears.

don't be fooled by the label, this tastes NOTHING like zamalek. is probably repackaged bud.

ok now this one is like zamalek, except it's more like a zamalek quart that has been melted down and squeezed into a smaller package. http://40ouncebeer.com/pics40/carlingblacklabelsupremelabel.jpg

put your big boy pants on when tackling this beast.

the other thing that's weird in canada is that they sell their beers without fridges. yup, it's all room temperature. granted that's not such an issue in winter since you just gooi your six pack in the snow for a few minutes and go. but you can pay MORE for beer at the rare stores that have a fridge for your cold beer.

What's also a bit odd is that it's so regulated. they even have price controlled, government owned grog shops.http://howtoimportliquorinbc.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/BC-Liquor-Stores.jpg

And then let's not forget the drinking age. in british columbia it's 19 years old. vancouver and seattle are 45minutes away, so you get a LOT of seattle 19/20 year olds coming over to get hammered. in alberta it's 18. so no one moves to van until they're 19 without a fake id.

wanted to do some beer orders...I usually just buy what makro has but decided to try a little more than what they stock so I am going to get myself some devils peak which I know and enjoy...but was also looking at clarens and copperlake......which I have not tried yet.....are they any good? or just stick with good ol jack black as my second box?

All beers mentioned above are great. Get one you know and try a new one, (I try with every order). It just broadens the horizon. Now you have made the wattbike session this afternoon less inviting.
