Trackz Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 We felt like Harries Pancakes ... so we left after work on Fri, 8 Aug for Dullstroom and arrived in Dullstroom on Sat 3pm. 22 hours later, 310km. Ride report on Making Trackz link below. http://makingtrackz.wordpress.com/2014/08/14/ride-to-dullstroom-going-beyond-300/ Dustbin Dog, MTBc, Generaal Gert and 9 others 12
BarHugger Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Might be the embryo start of a new event.........this is what stories and legends are made of. Impressive and respect. So how was the pancake......and how many did you consume?
GaryvdM Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 That's awesome! When the train was coming up to you, were you on the tracks, or alongside them? If long distance trekking is your thing, you may be interested in an Audax or two. http://audaxsa.co.za/(They are road routes however, not mtb.)
Trackz Posted August 14, 2014 Author Posted August 14, 2014 Only 2 pancakes, ate lots for 22 hours, thought I'd be more hungry.Train hooted for me to move out the way, being a cyclist I had attitude, so he hooted again, I capitulated
