Rim Tape

I've run tubeless setups on insulation tape alone and it has been fine. But like the others have said it is not the most robust option. The best ghetto tape I've used to date is the Gorilla Tape. You can get it at Builders Warehouse.

I have done this before....Just go around a couple of times.

If you use duct tape though you will be better off.....or fibre tape

I Have tried duct tape to patch a nipple replacement and it did not work.. Just bite the bullet and be prepared for a right rodgering

Sorry read that too fast... rim tape. Insulation tape should be fine if you give it a couple of wraps. Other wise Duct tape will be fine.

Get Gorilla duct tape, and cut to size (width).

Lasts super long and leaves no glue gunk residue when removed.

And oh yes, did I mention waterproof for your sealant...

Get from Campers outdoor

Gorilla Tape for the win. It comes standard with Evne carbon rims so you know it has to be good stuff.

I have been using Wurth tape for years now and still no problems. I believe 3M tape is just as good? Normal insulation tape has let me down on several occasions.

Bunch of cheapskates.

Just buy Stans tape and be done.

FTW

As they say.

I use insulation tape if I don't have proper rim strips. Over 20 wheels are currently rolling the roads on bikes I've donated with 3 layers of black 3M insulation tape between the tubes and the spoke holes.
