Corrected that for you :)

Mongoose we need pictures of your steed out in the wild.... come on...

On another note, I spent some time speaking to a carbon specialist about two weeks ago. He was buying the Lefty from me that I had advertised on the Hub. He repairs carbon frames every day of his life. He confirmed that Giant frames are some of  the best that you can get and he sees everything come through his shop. He says the carbon lay ups and materials are superior to almost everything else. He told me not to change brands if I was staying with carbon as my material of choice. He had no idea that I ride an Anthem Adv.  Feels good to hear that from an impartial engineer. I am tired of being told that I ride the "Toyota Corolla Hilux" of bicycles.

With great popularity comes much hate, I have owned many different brands in the past and have come to love the Giant shape/fit and the overall feel of the bikes they manufacture. To the point Where I now own 3 Giant bicycles. Wife, Commute and Race bike.

I have owned Specialized and SWorks, Bianchi, Merida, Scott, Silverback and the entry favourite Raleigh bikes both road and MTB. The Giants definitely do not perform like the Corrola's in that bunch.

But yeah, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I know If I still owned a Spaz I would have been none the wiser and jumped on the band wagon and said this is a "Corrola thread"

Yeah not saying that my bike is better blah blah blah just saying that it was nice to hear an independent person confirm something that I had always thought. I have only ever owned Anthems but have ridden a lot of other bikes.

I broke three GT frames and then decided to try Giant. My Revel was an awesome bike and proof you can get a very good bike for a lot less than R10k. Sadly it got stolen before I could break it.

The Talon that I brought with the insurance payout of the Revel broke after exactly 1 year/9300km. Currently on the 2nd Talon frame which has done about 4000km now. Will see how it pans out,

If it breaks I'm keen to try the entry level brand from Momsen, I think it's called RapidBikes.

My bike gets used daily so it clocks up a lot of mileage, however I never do more than 240km at a time and I don't ride down sheer rock cliffs so I see no need for dual suspension bikes. Maybe if I turn 60 I'll reconsider.

Awesome colour scheme. Enjoy

Thank you. My lbs fitted the large yellow GIANT decals on the down tube and I can't quite decide whether to take them off or leave them on.
