I am sure I said I do not condone the use of the K word, did I not? Go read it again if you missed it. I am not defending racism. I am just EFFING TIRED OF BEING LABELED A RACIST IN THIS COUNTRY EVERY TIME I GET PISSED OFF AT A PERSON OF "COLOUR"

get over it for eff's sake. This country is 21 years post apartheid. Start taking ownership for your own failures, and stop blaming every white person.

FLAME SUIT ON!!!

KarlvN - you are of course entitled to your opinion - but maybe you are picking the wrong thread to go ranting against black people/ coloured people/ transformation/quotas etc

How about the "Will this ever end" fred - you might find more like minded peeps there

If you push a cyclist off the road (on purpose) then you deserve to be banned.  It doesn't matter who you or they are.

Agree 100% but as you can see they are roadies so you can see where it stems from.  :w00t:

THing is, Karl, transformation IS required. Yes, we're 21 years post apartheid, but ito dramatic change, there's still a long way we can go and the cANCer have managed to perpetuate some of the injustices of the past by stuffing up royally in education and sports (as just one area)

So yes - transformation IS required. To claim otherwise is ridiculous. But to go off on a tangent and bring that into it and claim that people are calling you a racist for just disagreeing with a person of colour (as you claimed, and nobody accused you of it) is a bit silly.

The article clearly tells the story from 1 side only. I have seen too many instances where we are fed half the facts and lead to believe the truth the media want us to believe. Until I see an article with a response from CSA as well as the other riders involved, perhaps even a witness or too also, I will not react or take sides.

it will remain in our sport because CSAonoy prefers to cover these events up. Luthando is getting punished for making it public.

It happens more regularly than you think but apartheid was mos just a figment of non whites imaginations.

Can't we just agree that racism or any discrimination of any sort is completely wrong. Dragging the apartheid bit up at every turn does no good for anyone and just turns things into mudslinging from both sides.

Personally I would like to see the 2 riders pay for their actions as I too was a victim of being elbowed off the road in my early days of road cycling by "league readers". Whatever the youngster did or didn't do there is no justification for that bullying in any sport. What happened as a result is even more disappointing.

The sad part of this is that both Chris and Dusty know Luthando very well . Tyler and Kaka are good friends on and off the bike. What is strange is that Kaka gets suspended as well ( did he say/do something )that is not reported.

This is what I'm wondering, the report is very thin on details.

“I can’t understand why [Kaka] was also suspended, which is why we decided to take the matter to the courts,”

I would have thought this is standard procedure until a ruling has been made?

Maybe so, and makes sense. But the report doesn't contain a statement from any officials to clarify. So it all seems a bit up in the air

So the whiteys are immediately tarred and feathered by libtards and should be burnt at the stake. Any-one care to hear the other side? Was he really called a k...er, or is he trying to cover up something or for some one? Was the young rider the only one being pushed, or did he do some pushing of his own? I heard a different story, but it is nice to see everyone finding them guilty before all the facts are known. Must be because they're white and the victim black...

Must be loads of witnesses. Throw the book at these guys.

not acceptable.

And if the witnessess tell a different story? Where should the book go then?

I have seen(and experienced) more racism in this sport than any other that I've been involved in. It seems like people take their anger and frustration towards those inept and corrupt individuals at this country's helm, and direct it towards all civilians of the same colour. I have seen people with genuinely good hearts allow their frustration to get the better of them. This is no excuse though, and punishment should be meted out as befits such behaviour, however perhaps a little understanding (on both sides) will smooth the path towards reconciliation somewhat.

who the hell cares if the guy intervening was black, white, pink (magento), green or blue. Two guys were bullying a younger rider. Another rider stepped in. Ban the blinken riders.*

*Unless there is another side to this story.

Bizarre, suspend Kaka for what?

Those other two guys stepped way over the line. No room for this, from anyone.

Messed up world, the bullies get off and the victim gets suspended.

Isn't Day's daddy involved in CSA ?
