On the second picture at the top it sates 30 000 worth of prizes and that is why I said that, 25 000 prize money and 5 000 worth of hamper ?( I think)

On the top picture , ss timing, it states R25 000 in prizes but on the bottom picture its states R30 000 , which one is right ?

You need to go back to page 1 for that but SASeeding reveals even more, the two guys ahead of him are only 2 years older. Fortunately for the OP a lot can happen with two years of proper development and focus. Looking at what he achieved at the race before ( Clarens) he placed 4th in the youth category so clearly he's up there but the guys are 10 minutes ahead of him on a 2 hour race. I bet you they're not worried about hampers and apologies, they're out there focussed on their training.

 

Heinz, just remember the Hub loves a good scrap, it entertains them, usually reserved for Friday's but you weren't to know that! So you'll get a great amount of support here as well as some detractors. But ask yourself the following do you want make a career out of cycling? Or do you want to take up politics? If it's the latter you have a nice pool of votes right here on the Hub, they like the fact that as a 16 year old you stood up for yourself and that takes courage. People like to see that because it is such a rare commodity.

 

However, if you have ambitions as a competitive rider you are going to need sponsors and sponsors want to see someone who can represent their brand, that means you to have your own brand. So ask yourself does this thread represent the best of brand Heinz, the competitive cyclist? Focus Boet Focus!

We don't know what he wants to become one day but maybe he just

wanted to be treated fairly in Sunday's race! That's all.

 

Sponsors also want to be associated with brands with integrity, backbone and who play by the rules.

Did not report the faulty results because at the time there were no faults , on the provisional results I was listed as YM

there wasn't a cash prize for 3rd place - coincidence! if the OP didn't appeal,  it would have been Louis jnr that didn't get a cash prize.

 

The OP was listed on the results as a junior so he effectively would not have received the Youth Cat prize if there was one anyway. AS mentioned, the opportunity to check details on the provisional results was made ahead of prize giving, as per any event, prize giving results are final and cannot be changed after prize giving but as an act of good faith the OP can get a hamper for the Youth cat even though it was his responsibility to ensure that his info was correct.

last year a spectator tried to help rachel atherton by helping her unravel her punctured tyre...she didnt ask for the help but before she could tell him no..he had done it and she was dq'd...but outside assistance is outside assistance no matter which way you look at it

So lets clarify... it clearly states R25,000 in prize money + Hampers (ignoring the R30k on the second pamphlet), and given that there are 11 prize winners, thats an average of R2272 per person.... and still no one can tell us WHY when there is so much on offer yet there was no prize for YOUTH or 3rd in the 36km event? Sounds like a lot of false advertising to attract participants, and now that you have been found out, there is some back pedalling?
