Between my day to day stuff and getting running in I am dead tired for the most of this year already.  I added slomag out of desperation since a week back after someone mentioned it to me and I am feeling a heck of a lot better.

So whether it is all in the mind I don't know, but if magnesium is what us 40 odd year old men should add to our diets, what is the best/cheapest magnesium to add, apart from those that comes in real food?

Slow Mag is about the cheapest i think

I've been using Ultimag for the past two years.

Not for the reason you are enquiring though. I kept cramping badly so went for blood tests and they showed a magnesium deficiency and since taking them I haven't cramped, even through two full Ironman events.

Biogen makes a much cheaper one, but it is a crappy vanilla flavour (fizzy tablets).

Clicks quite often have a 3 for 2 special on slowmag which saves you quite a bit of money.

So when do you guys take your Magnesium, morning or night?

I normally take mine in the morning. My wife used to take hers at night though [emoji2375]

Lots of guys on mag supplements. What's causing the deficiency?

Training lots and sweating, loosing sodium, magnesium etc.

I take slow mag in the morning, but have been told it is beneficial to take in the evening as can help with restless legs

Jackes... Jokes aside, are you allowing for a recovery week in your training cycle? Like 3 weeks on, 1 week of actual recovery?

Where you don't do a long or fast run?

Also, if you are training a lot, diet comes into it hugely.

I hope you get sorted.

Seems like Slomag is the go to one yes.  My pharmacist recons his first choice before Slomag is the Ultimag btw, but they have been taken over and will only be available again in December.  Thanks guys!

If there was any doubt about Kenenisa Bekele being the greatest distance runner of all time... If not greatest runner...I think he proved it today at Berlin

Geez, 2 seconds... And that from almost finishing third.

I really wanted him to break it, he deserves to have his name in every record book, the ladies battle was also really great, what a great race!
