Could somebody please shed some light on the laundry?

In 2014 we were able to hand in the laundry any day - next day it was ready.

Has that changed? In what way?

Miele used to do the laundry. Wash one day get it the next.

Just finished Tankwa, crashed every day and 3 times on day 2. Battered and bruised but it was fantastic. Sabie Ultra followed by half marathon with missus on Sunday which should conclude preparation. Rest, recover, rehydrate.

How is all of you guys training schedule looking for the last 4 weeks, time to get bikes in and ready now, damn time has passed quickly.

- This week 14 hrs (4 training sessions + 1 short recovery, longest 5 hrs)

- Next week 15 hrs (4 + 1, longest 6,5 hrs and 1 technical training)

- Week 3: 10 hrs (4+1, longest 3 hrs)

- Final week: 3,5 hrs (3 sessions and tapering), start travelling on Tuesday. Arriving in Cape Town on Wednesday morning and hoping to have a ride on the prologue route on Thursday or Friday to check out the climbs and the technical descent part (that part that had loads of riders crashing in 2015).

New tires, cassette, chain and brake pads on bike in week 3, to be able to have some rides with the new parts in that week. Suspension (front and back) has been serviced last week, some CTD-parts renewed as well.

Major worries: not falling ill (flue "epidemic" doing the rounds in Belgium), finding sufficient time in between rain and sleet showers to train outside and shedding the final 2 kilo's.

Hi guys, anyone have any remedies for a tender behind. Just finished Tankwa and I'm in some discomfort. Using assos bibs and chamois cream already.

Surgical spirits spray followed by milking cream a couple of times a day....

Holy hell that sounds Eina! Of course it'll work... But, Eina!

It will only sting a bit if you have open skin - toughen up Dom.... :)

If you have open blisters and I sprayed it on those, I would understand some screaming - but if the skin is not damaged then it doesn't hurt - try it on your forearm to test if you don't believe me.

Yip. I just assumed wounded skin.

Leave me alone with my big girl panties.

good luck to everyone on this thread.

Look into a Zinc supplement if you are worried about getting the flu. Apparently it helps prevent an infection somehow.

I take it when I fly a lot and it helps.

Zinc-Selenium works best - "Zinplex" is the brand my dr./cardiologist prescribed
