Also looks like Sauser is the coach/mentor/fountain of endless knowledge for all the Specialized, which is really cool.

so any links where one can watch this live on-line?

Gosh no idea.. they say the (believe it or not) SABC YouTube channel has been very good for streaming Rio events.

How long did they sprint for [emoji33] cause the video ends and they are still sprinting[emoji23] [emoji23]

From the posts before it looks like they were all on an interval training session that day.. eina

If he put a 1500W Road sprint through a 1x11 gearing he'd make his Champs Elysees skidding look like a small swerve. Could be entertaining if it is wet! :)

Sagan is causing quite the fanfare in Brazil.. seeing a lot of social media post with people (normal folks) excited because they go training and the next moment Sagan is pedalling along side them and joining them for a bit.

so realistically, what sort of chance does Sagan have in this race?

Imagine a roadie winning this! You'll never hear the end of it.

Honestly top 10 would be brilliant...especially given the smaller field, and the wide long start, he'll make up places fast.. but he'll have to work very hard to close the gap to the leaders.. won't be easy.. give him a full year in xco and then it could be a different story.. .

But no matter where he finishes one thing is sure he will give his very best out there.

And him just being there is already drawing a lot more attention to the xco.
