Has anyone opted for the endurance points system? How are you experiencing it? I think it would be interesting to get some feedback

I have, nothing seems to have changed too much except now I get points for doing activities wth lower average HR.

Eg: My wife and I did a super chilled 12km trail run, just over 2 hrs with avg HR around 120bpm .

I got 450 points and she got none, I've signed up on the Endurance level and she hasn't.

I have, not much changes to be honest but you can earn more points in a week than previously. 1200 as opposed to 900.

I think the threasholds are lower as the poster above mentions but not sure of the specifics.

yes. same as other posters. it means longer rides at lower intensity gets more points. I don't count myself as an endurance athlete, but if they count my longer rides, I'm happy. Have maxed my workout points for the year, so now it's about the smoothies

That is not correct, she should have got at least 100 points for a 30+ min speed workout, or 100 points for a 30+ min light workout at 60-69% of max heart rate and if it was 70-79% of max heart rate then she would have got 200 points

Yeah, I thought so too.

The HR max wouldn't have given her anything  because we really didn't push it, even stopped for coffee and a muffin at K-bosch but I thought at least the 30min+ speed data.

She did it with her FitBit Blaze and when she logged the workout it just said activity too slow for points or something like that.

Strange

Nothing strange really. Their systems are useless.

What discovery should do is refund every client who they are conning with their Apple Watch program. At the moment I'm paying monthly installments for the watch despite me exercising. Their systems have become so useless that it doesn't even pick up activities from the workout app on the Apple Watch.

Anyways I've pretty much had it with them and will be switching all my policies once I get my 5 yearly payment in January.

Is it only my points that still not refecting for the amashova or am I missing something?

According to the website they need 4 days for the points to reflect.

Check if your RACE EVENT sends results automatically

Certain timing companies have integrated with us to provide us with verifiable data. Go to the Vitality race events calendar to check which events qualify. For your convenience you don't need to send us your race results for these Vitality race events. Your points will be automatically uploaded if you have completed the event. Please allow for four days for your points to reflect.

I don't see anything on mine either yet.

Ok, so the wife and I decided to change over to Momentum next year. Discovery's Vitality thing has just left such a bad taste in our mouths (particularly my wife's) as changing the goal posts constantly not only leads to frustration, but confusion as well (my wife likes her free smoothies).

At least now we are on a rewards programme that puts cash back into our medical savings if we stay fit and active. And we end up paying a lot less than on Discovery for very similar benefits (keeping in mind that we are not on chronic medication).

Good luck to all the peeps on Discovery and particularly those who have to deal with Vitality.

Mine is showing, but I submitted manually yesterday.

For the Active Rewards program, you have until Friday after the event to manually submit, otherwise you can't claim for VAR points afterwards. The race was Sunday, so 4 days should be Mon, Tue, Wed and Thu, which means today the points should reflect.

As the points hadn't come through by yesterday, I've submitted it manually (even though I have already met my goal for the week), in case I need to refer back to this event for the cash-back due in January.

If you need the points, submit manually before the end of today - just in case.

For the guys that are on Team Vitality, that did cash-back events for the period July to September. The refund should be due in the next billing cycle, which for me is the 19th of each month.

I haven't done any Team Vitality events, so I can't see if a refund was paid.

If you've done any event in the above mentioned period, please confirm if you got the refund you were expecting.

The next refund is only in January for the 3-month period October - December.

Thanks

I already achieved my VAR goal for the week. I wanted to see if the automated sync works or not. But I guess I got my answer.

Yes, I manually submitted my results and got the points.

The Carnival City Macsteel National Classic (Road and MTB) will finally appear on the Vitality calendar (as of next week). I'm still working on the cash-back bit.
