I can not confirm nor deny such allegations as my legal council have not yet seen the docket with the evidence contained therein....

But, if you do 15 seconds with HRM on and then take strap off and let the timer run, it gives you the average for the full 30mins.

I cannot confirm personally that this works but a friend  :whistling:  has proven it works :whistling:  This friend had to run hard for a few minutes to get an average HR of close to 180 and then at the end of 30min the average was done to just above 70%

Didn't they flag a couple of people some time ago with "questionable data" in their activities?

hit the drive reward for the last 3 weeks. Had to change my driving habits ALOT, but it couldnt have come at a better time...

My fuel economy is much better by driving within the limits, getting almost 100km more on a tank so not going to complain there.

only thing is i feel that I am sometimes holding up people and they going to get pissed of with me, but then I think about the benefits and just ignore them  :w00t:

So whats your goal, I'm tryna do the math as I am assuming you had a race today, only way to make more than 300 points which is the minimum goal...

Possible to get 600 points on the Elite program, but given he's a newbie, an event is the most likely answer.

New on vitality, so is probably on 200 points and got 300 points for his ride today

Isn't 300 the smallest goal they assign?

If you’re not First... you’re Last!!!!!

I think that's what's been both the most rewarding and most frustrating aspect of this whole experience. By driving sensibly and according to the speed limits, you actually end up going efficiently as the roads are designed for that. Ever so often there is some idiot racing the lights, weaving through traffic, but yet, we end up in the same spot at the same time. And that's what gets my goat. If everyone just obeyed the traffic rules, traffic would flow much better. But no, we need to win, we need to be first. **** everyone else.

The goals start on 100 for the first week and then 200 for the second which is what I am now on. I don't know how it goes after that yet. Saturday I did a 30 minute run over 80% of max heart rate which was 300 points. On Sunday I did a running race over 90 minutes which earned me 450 points because I registered for the endurance category. That's 750 points right there. With what's planned for the rest of this week, I'll get to the regular target by Friday.

Tried looking on the Disco website but was unable to find the answer to my question. Have any of you brought dependents who weren't previously with Discovery onto your Discovery plan?

My question is around Vitality:

1.) Do you earn Vitality status as a family or individually?

2.) If its together then how is my current Diamond status effected when I add a dependent?

Sorry if this info is easily found, I couldn't see the answers on the website

you earn individual points but your status is as a couple. I don't know if the number of points you have to get will increase. What do you have to get currently for gold or diamond status? My familly has to get 90000 points for 3 years for diamond status.

Thanks. Ok I found the "rules section" eventually.

Basically gold if 45,000 for one member, 90,000 points per year for Main member + 1 over 18

So from what I can see assuming we add a member then our total requirement for gold goes from 45,000 (just me) to 90,000 (me + one other). They then take my points and add them to whatever the new dependent earns during the year to see if we reach silver/gold/etc.

The only thing I'm not sure on is how my current diamond status is affected. I'm guessing I'll lose it.

If you take them on now, you'll need them to get the required points to get you to the Gold level requirement by the end of the year. So if it's you plus them, then you need 90,000. The breakdown between members doesn't matter, but you won't be able to get there yourself.

Your status will not change now. If it does, that's an administrative error and will need to be fixed by their systems dept. You will need 90,000 by the end of the year to keep diamond status tho.
