What a load of crap. Nothing more than gathering information about you. What difference is it going to make in my treatment as to whether I ride road or mtb more? And like the rest here, don't tell me it's compulsory. Have emailed them and requested a refund on overpriced entry anyway. Not going to be told that I have to hand over 20 pages so I can expect a gazillion calls from marketing companies

I do not think I've entered the CTCT so that Medi-Clinic can data harvest my confidential medical information. The way this is forced as a condition of participation months after my entry is not acceptable and out of principle I refuse to provide any info.

Just answer the questions. I did.

I told them all about my last pregnancy, my period pains and my erectile dysfunction.

I think I also told them about my Alzheimer's, but I cant remember.

It does say that they 'urge you' to take the questionnaire so I don't think it's that compulsory. If they want to know my  allergies and medical conditions I 'urge' the CTCT to look at all the other info I've filled in, repeatedly, for PP, RaceTec and the previous Argus tours.

It says it's compulsory and a condition of entry. Duck off ctct. I'm not giving any further information without assurances around the security of that information.

Joh, there are many very jumpy people here in Hubland. Relax, it's only Monday. If you keep on working yourself up like this, you are going to end up in a MediClinic emergency ward with chest pains before Friday! ;)

To me, the questions look like it is part of a research project.

If this is the case, then we should be informed beforehand.

We should have the opportunity to decline if this is for research purposes.

Looks to me like they are building some sort of database that could be used for future research projects.

I have no problem with this, but we should be informed beforehand and have the option to decline participation in the survey without any consequences.

I also wonder if there is ethics approval for this "survey"

These guys really know how to piss their cyclists off.

& the question which really ticks me off the most is the cramp question...

Clearly whoever formulated those so call questionnaires are not that clued-up on cycling at all...

I have also mailed them asking them to please state on paper directly to me that it is compulsory and that I may not partake , should I not fill this in. I want that in writing. They can honestly get f*****. I don't enjoy people taking my money and then trying to back me into a corner after the fact for the sake collecting data. Mediclinic is already a 3rd party , and they don't in anyway need my information. They can rather refund me with interest.
