Deliberate hit and run in Cradle - Help ID Culprit

Well urgent appeal for help, hand offered and no response wouldn't you get a bit irate ??

Seen this too many times on the hub guys asking for help huge initial post and no follow through, I can think of 3 times recently where HUBBERS NEED help and other HUBBERS step up and there is no follow through. If you take the time to post such a detailed initial request you would think you want to get to the bottom of this and you follow through up on all offers and track the hub ?

I look at one example lately with our fellow thief conman from PE gummi from Germany asked a few times for case numbers to get the ball rolling from Europe , it took more than one request, yes there is only so much he can do to help but it almost looked like he was more keen to solve this than the people scammed

Maybe the OP has got new info and is moving forward on it, then simply say "stay tuned there is progress will update soonest thanks for the help", it's called common courtesy when asking for help. Anyway I hope the radio silence means there is movement forward and we can't be informed because steps are being put in place to find our SHORT DICK MAN

Me and my wife cycle there often on a tandem, and feel completely safe. We come across these large peletons, but just let them be and get past us. We find it a lot safer than cycling on the "open" roads (we were almost hit twice)> So, don't be put off by this post. The gripe may be valid, but is really the exception. Cradle is GREAT!

Fully agree with this statement, been riding in the Cradle for many years and yes you do get the odd situation here and there, but still the best place to ride!

I would also be hesitant to reply to that message offering help from someone who joined the hub just to post that. My mind jumped to the probability of him owning a Cruiser 79 - it wouldn't be the first time someone from the Cradle has come on here to defend themself - but further research seems to indicate he is a lawyer and it is very possibly a genuine offer of assistance (who knows if that's through the RAF, criminal or civil though).

It's really not that difficult to do the right thing! If someone asks for help and help is offered as DIPS has said, make the commitment to respond to it, even if it's to say, "hey, someone else has already stepped up and it's moving forward at this time. but THANK YOU FOR THE OFFER!" Nothing worse than a massive storm that fizzles out into complete silence, just as the community starts rallying up support!

Hi all,

 

A case has been opened. we are awaiting the investigating officer to look at it as we cannot lay a charge until they deem the case needs it. - bizarre! 

 

i can say without a shadow of a doubt the perps numberplate is DH 00 DL GP.

this has been positively ID'd against a vehicle matching the description. 

 

we are using the correct legal channels in order to ensure no loophole is available to the PERP in getting out if this issue.

 

we obviously appreciate all the help.

 

We would also like to appeal to all not take the law into your own hands.

Let's not label all Land Cruisers 79 type drivers as dangerous individuals.

 

We will however ask that should anyone site this vehicle to please post on this thread the location that you saw the vehicle.

please do not engage the driver. we do not need to pour petrol the flames.

Hi there. I found what I think to be the vehicle involved during my Cradle ride this morning. The registration is DH 09 JT GP and I know where they are located and have more details if you would like to contact me.  It seems they have different drivers (perhaps a father and son) but I saw the big round man you described.  They are right near Forum Homini Restaurant (Roots) and they have large green Agri Holding trucks parked next to their Plot. Let me know if you want the exact location details. This same vehicle nearly knocked me off my bike about 18 months ago and I hope you follow this thing through to make them and others understand that cyclists are vulnerable and they cannot play with our lives because we ride in their terrain. I did take a video of the vehicle but the registration number isn't clear. Thanks.
