What I can't seem to understand is how yesterday ended up all square between the majority of GC contenders.

Froome was dropped when AG2R attacked, Froome spent allot of energy to make contact with them.

Then, Froome got a puncture, he was 25seconds down or something similar. Yet he still managed to get back after a sacrificial ride by Kwiatkowski(or someone else, can't remember exactly) and a last pull by Landa.

So Froome definitely spent a whole bunch of matches there.

Yet, with Froome compromised,  only Dan Martin was able to get away and take time on Froome(and everyone else in that bunch).

If Froome is able to stick with them after burning so many matches, I can't see them taking time on him, except if they finish on a wall again...

They are a bit annoying. They also seem to annoy each other sometimes.

I dig the two aussies. Robbie McEwen has interesting current insights about riders, tactics and the peloton overall. Something that Phil and Paul lacked.

I still don't envy these guys on flat stages. Filling 5 hours of monotony is no easy task. Hearing the back story of every chateau en route can only get that interesting.

The depth in team strength is what kept Froome Dawg out of trouble

He burnt of at least two domestiques in the chase

AFTER Kawasaki was handy to swop wheels with him

And then Landa was in the group ahead to support him while he recovered from his chase

And then he demonstrated his strength by attacking them in the final km

That was for mental points, I reckon, as he would've not dropped the other GC challengers on the flats.

As its a Monday and not Friday and its a rest day and I am still feeling pissed off about the rugby and feeling very aggressive to any backchat I will come straight out and say it:

I miss the Phil and Paul show !!!

then get some NBC livestreaming.

if you really want to be a fanboi, get a eurosport feed where they rotate the commentators. I know, like in cricket. you don't have manners and haysie all day, they take slots. Eurosport finish with Carlton Kirby and Sean Kelly. +++you get to see the Alpecin commercial which is unbelievable (in how bad it is)

If you follow the anti-froomists on twitter this is incorrect. It was due to him riding at 6.34w/kg, which proves he is doping. (Even though he was sitting on someone's wheel the whole time) Also they question why Kwiato was so slow after the wheel change, did he give Froome the wheel with the motor in it?

Then to top it off today and blow them away, he wore long sleeves....

Also, if I was shimano/Pinnarello, I would change the mechanic at Sky. The number of Mechanical's Sky has had is ridiculous!

He would be that guy on the club ride that gets left at Bakoven to call an uber...

I was also wondering what the heck is happening with all these mechanicals at Sky.

Is Gary Blem still the mechanic? A flat is not a mechanical, how many have they had? Do we just see Sky because it's the yellow jersey team?

His gears stopped working the other day as well.

He also managed to snap a spoke, at 70kg, pray tell how one snaps a spoke unless the wheels are poorly built?

To be fair they haven't exactly had the best year when it comes to spokes not snapping, hell, if they can snap meaty tri-spoke ones, those flimsy ones on the road wheels are nothing. . .

Haters will be haters. Can't change that. See he was even boo'ed by some in the crowd yesterday while chasing on. Idiots

Are him and Ulran trying to start a new racing trend with their single speeds?

This is the biggest issue..especially with them Sky haters..always use their strength as excuse. Not the other GC guys being weak or having piss poor tactics.Yesterday Bardet had his whole team with him..But they chose to ride hard tempo for 5 k plus instead of burning all of them up in 2 k of max riding. If they did that and then the GC guys take over, Froome would have never seen them again.Imagine getting a 1 min gap on him with the doms and then Aru, Bardet,Martin,Contador and Uran drive it home. That is taking the race to him...but NO they just all sit there and watch as Bardet teammates pace.Strongest riders in the world right now all together and NOTHING!!!

Watch what Pinot,Nibs and Q did to Tom at the Giro..Isolate and drive it home for every Second they can get.GC riders taking responsibility for what they are paid to do...drop their rivals.

Getting a bit tired of this Sky is too strong story. You really want to tell me the top 5 GC riders in the race are affraid of Neive..because it was really just him there for most of the chase back??

Would have loved to see them fight alla Pinot,Nibs and Q on the penultimate stage of the Giro!!!!
