Duane_Bosch Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 Hectic. Have any of you noticed how cars tend to cut left hand corners? I don't think it's on purpose. I just think people can't judge corners. What I've started doing is drifting out a bit before each left. Forcing cars to wait for me to finish the corner. They shouldn't be overtaking on a solid line anyway. Of course that didn't stop the middle aged lady from attempting to overtake on a blind left hander in to incoming traffic yesterday. And of course when she tells the story I'm the dick.

Her loss, really. Given the choice, I would take that Datsun over the Porsche, any day, the whole day long. Should I ever win a Porsche in an competition, I would sell it pronto, by myself a GTR, and use the money left over for a decent overseas holiday. you must be a Topgear fan....

Hairy Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 time to fit a camera to my bike this morning a lady parks behind me (I make sure I am in front of cars at a red traffic light) with her left indicator on. fine I recon, she has seen me since she has stopped behind me. light changes I take off ..... so too does she with a speed and cuts in front of me, rather too close for comfort I would say. but you plan for cr@p like this and move with the car a bit while stopping ... some choice words did not make any difference as the car just kept up the pace and drove away.

V12man Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Yesterday afternoon I stopped behind a metro bus on my scooter when it was offloading passengers on Jan Smuts (3 lanes wide there ) and after about a minute a taxi scraped past me on the left between me and rge parked cars on the side of the road and smacked straight into the bus - eish... no brakes.... Lucky escape..

Lucky escape..Phew. That was lucky. And pretty darn scary too.
