Investec Songo Specialized have a flat. They try find the hole to plug it

It would be interesting to see the no. of flats per tyre type during the Epic

per brand yes, and over the whole field. To make it a fair comparison, it would be better to look at the % of failure rate per brand.

they busy selling off and name dropping all the celebs doing the race now on the live coverage .... and fortunately the sound has dropped :P

That seems very very interesting to me.

 

 

But I think to reliably capture this data is almost impossible

it would be interesting if they could capture this info from the riders

LOL. Thing is you can't just say brand and correlate it to failure. The Spaz tyres may be predominately Control casings, and the Maxxis may be predominately EXO casings. Schwalbe may be snakeskin, or the standard performance line (nghhhhh - I have chills just thinking about those POS's)

yes you can ... one has to assume that there will be a reasonably similar number / percentage of riders on super light casings for each brand, and then those riders on more durable casing.
