What happened to Piddy? Didnt think he was going to win, but for sure thought he'll be able to go with the attacks on "climbs"

There was a crash in the lead up to the Cipressa, seemed like a narrow road that all the teams wanted to go in first, even UAE that was leading at the time got squeezed out at the last second, which ultimately cost Pogacar & his team position & where I personally think UAE lost the race.

If you watch when Pog attacked, MVDP, Gana and the French guy went with him, in the distance behind you could see Pidcock try to go and bridge up to these 4, but couldn't and sat down

Probably stating the obvious—Pog's strategy is to find a climb (or climbs) within 100km of the finish, smash it, drop everyone, and sail to a win. It's impressive, and not many can do that, let alone attempt it.

MSR doesn't really provide for that, so he needs to do the last two climbs even faster, but it's safe to say that the others have the legs to stick with him. Even being a bit distanced isn't too bad (see Ganna). So barring any hiccups for MVDP/Ganna/Pedersen type riders, he'll be hard-pressed to get MSR under his belt.

RVR is a different kettle of fish—hills seem harder, made worse by the unrelenting terrain, so his strategy works.

Roubaix? Who knows? It's such a lottery, and anything can happen. If he does line up, stand by for lots of fawning—I think that's guaranteed.

History has shown if Pog's getting to the line with other riders, he'll be hoping they left their sprinting legs at home. If it's any of the bigger names, he'll need some good fortune.

E3 or the 'Mini Flanders' in a few days. Perfect training for the 2nd Monument of the year.

The rainbow jersey have committed to The Hell Of the North as he seems to be hunting for more Monument glory. Hmmmm... juicy.

And, where in the world is Remco - will he show up somewhere to get into the peloton and rev his engine before the summer of Grand Tours?

I love Pogi and his style, but all I want from cycling karma is for WvA to win Rouxbaix once.

Maybe having Pogi there will play to WvA's advantage as MvdP will now have to watch two MAJOR threats and WvA can slip away.

Agree 1000% cycling karma owes WvA.  It will be one super exciting race!!!

Remco who???

Pog will be a newbie… that’s already a sensation. I don’t think the race suits him. I’m hoping the Dane from Trek can be the first rider across the finishline in the velodrome, sprinting with Piccock and WVA. 🤓Has there even been a Danish winner?🤔

Beautiful racing!

E3: A race of attrition and the lanky Dutchman who has Belgian blood rides away from time trial guru Top Ganna, the former rainbow jersey in Mads Peterson and a few other showing good form, thereby repeating his victory from 2024. Perfect course reconnaissance for the Tour Of Flanders on a wet cold day in Belgian.
