dsw Posted April 17, 2019 Share I'll allow it. VdP is next level... he can dominate one day racing over the next few years if he decides to focus on it and rides for a strong team. Perhaps Jim Ratcliffe must just buy him out of his contracts and get it over with... Gen

Perhaps Jim Ratcliffe must just buy him out of his contracts and get it over with... I mentioned earlier, is his contract subsidised mostly by Canyon or by Corendon-Circus? Sagan is paid mostly by Spez. It might be a similar deal, so a move to Katusha or Movistar (the Canyon ridden teams) might happen. BUT after he gets to ride a Canyon MTB at the 202 Olympics. Guys are forgetting that he is adamant about riding XCO at the Olympics.

Mountainbiking is probably closer to CX racing which is his best discipline and he probably fancies his chances more to beat an ageing Nino in Tokyo then to take on the new breed of climbers ( Bernal, Yates etc) on a climbers friendly Olympic course. nochain Posted April 17, 2019 Share Can I just say MvdP!Will he be lining up at Amstel,Fleche or Leige? Edited April 17, 2019 by nochain
Eldron Posted April 18, 2019 Share Will he be lining up at Amstel,Fleche or Leige?I'm all for swapping DDD out with Circus for the remaining one dayers. They'll add more excitement. DDD are just bulking up the peleton at the moment. And this from a die hard DDD fan. In other news Daryl Impey had a good solo effort at the Pijl. DDD did not have a bad day yesterday with Gasparotto managing a 7th and Kreuzinger a 15th - So you never know, hopefully it was the start of better days and they will do better during their Ardenne's campaign.
