Bike Hub Features Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 If you followed our 2016 Bikes of the Epic series in March, you might have noticed that there was one glaring omission, the bike that won the race. It may be many months later but we've finally tracked down Karl Platt's 2016 Absa Cape Epic winning BULLS Wild Edge Team 29 bike.Click here to view the article
Corrado Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Wonder why the one brake lever is so much lower than the other. Or is the 2nd photo playing trick on my eyes?
spy Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 interesting compared to other Pro's....no carbon rims , x 2 drive train ......Â
AdamA Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Wonder why the one brake lever is so much lower than the other. Or is the 2nd photo playing trick on my eyes? Right shifter is Di2, Left is Cable, the Brakes are the same height/angleÂ
DJuice Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 2017 bike can take two bottle cages inside the frame triangle.Â
s14phoenix Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 best guess would be about 12kg??? maybe a bit less... I would be keen know
Wil6 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 That is one seriously ugly bike xero7 and Albatross 2
Spoke101 Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 best guess would be about 12kg??? maybe a bit less... I would be keen knowWith the above set up I would say sub 11kg, guess about 10.8kg for a medium.
PeterF Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Bar ends and handlebar tape on the area near the stem. I suppose when you are spending that much time on the bike comfort is crucial. Zebra 1
Long Wheel Base Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Right shifter is Di2, Left is Cable, the Brakes are the same height/angleI wonder why he went for that option? Di2 for 2x is still only 1 lever so the left lever is just a waste. Sent from my LG-H735 using Tapatalk
Goodbadugly Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 Back to bar ends, 2x set up and alloy rims? The more things change, the more they stay the same.I'll like it.And good old Shimano pedals... Zebra 1
BaGearA Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 First time reading this but its very odd to see that ratio up front Karl could probs ride the entire epic on the 36t Makes more sense to me to go with 26/28 and A 38/40 But He probably likes it that way awesome bike all and all
