ok adventurefreak made contact with me. We have came to the agreement that he will take shock back and refund the full amount and service.

He claims not to be very active on the hub and didnt see thet I have messaged him. He serviced the shock himself and is shocked that the condition of the shock is not what he expected.

He has apologized and and case is closed. He sounds like a good person and wants to fix what has happend.

THE END...

luckily not a big loss and learned my lesson.

Two things you dont buy second hand:

1- suspension

2- wife

and both are forks

elke worsie het twee punte

Last time I looked mine only had one - for sure!

I hate solutions - it's so final.

My advice would have been "if it is to good to be true it usually is" and a fork in good condition at R2000 is just too good.

Jeeeeesus Pikey, how can you be right up there with the professional sellers???

Its cos he cant keep a bike for more than 5 minutes so he is really a glorified bike shop

Glad it's sorted....

BUT my main question and having had a quick look at the prices of newer forks - you buy a fork for R2k which in my mind is really cheap (almost giving it away - not that I can afford R2k at the mo.) considering a new fork (with a warranty) would set you back R8k +, and you moan because it needs a service....?
