Gwinn MUST have known about the 29ers that Trek & SC are going to run. He seems to be the rider most closely aligned to Fox so they would surely have told him. The production ready 40 is pretty much the last piece in the puzzle for 29er DH bikes. All the other attempts I've seen have had that horrible dorado out front.

 

I reckon YT will be on a 29er by MSA. Gwinn is on an XL TUES and he's only 178cm which tells me he's looking for high speed stability.

for sure. for all those on 29ers, the last piece of the puzzle is likely to be skidplates for their riding shorts To go along with with his buzzworks headset, Mr Minn might as well go with buzzkill buttprotection

the thing is, Loris is stupid quick, and i'm in the camp that believes he is better than Loic. So seeing him up there is not a surprise at all. All three 29ers in the top 10 is interesting, but all it says is they might be marginally faster than they would be in another, smaller wheelsize, not field-smashing stuff. granted, early days at race level. Things can always improve.
