My wife just doesn't get it!

Sorry bru, you are on your own.

My wife do get it. She has been sulking the past year because we can't afford to get her a carbon bike. And she has been nagging for an XT upgrade on her current bike.

My wife thinks a Santa Cruz Tallboy costs R2500.00.

I prefer it that way.

Wait till she sells it for R5000 and tells you that you can but one for her and one for yourself  :w00t:

Now I truly understand why pseudonyms are so popular on the Hub......

Training the easy part of bike riding

Mostly because it gets you away from the wife......

This is a statement... not a question..

As much as it is a noble idea, I have politely banned my Wife and kids from buying me cycling stuff for any occasions, because they don't get it !

Yeah, I'm with you on this one. My wife also loves buying me cycling stuff, but because she "doesn't get it" she buys the wrong stuff. I'm still riding with a too small saddle bag that should actually be on the top tube (I made a plan to hang it below my seat) because I can't tell her I don't like her gift.. I've also politely banned her from buying me cycling stuff

I'll be sure to buy it from your wife when you pass on to greener pastures.  :whistling:

Just show her the rules and say you should not be riding with one. If you get a flat, give her a shout to come pick you up.

I buy my Spares online and have them delivered to the Office and when I get home I sneak them in through the back gate directly into my workshop.

She doesn't come near my workshop as I am often swearing when I work on my bike and something does not go right or I take off excess skin on the cogs etc etc.

Worked out OK so far.

Funny how the MTB costs so much more to maintain than a road bike  - but I do most of the work myself, other than suspension, so only money spent is on parts.

That only works if she knows who he is

Don't kid yourself - they ALL know who he is.  There is some weird chickvine thing that zones into every sphere of social life to pick out the "hotties".  So shallow, really.  He's a person, with feelings, for goodness sake, not just an object!

My wife cycles, and gets why I want things!!

But she does not get why she must upgrade. She even insisted that I buy another bike.....

True story. So I bought a Santa Cruz, and she said this is the last one. ....

n+1 = w-1
