Has anyone looked at taking out insurance on this event being cancelled again? I will enter for 2018 but if its not too expensive i would like to take insurance out on it too.

To cover what? Your *R500 entry fee? I guess for out of towners to cover all costs then not a bad idea but I doubt you'll find anyone that will insure that.

Hell, even if it is just after that hole in building that created the majority of the issues at the start(refer any video posted that day), I think it may be a good idea. . .

Maybe they are changing it so that a Savage does not win it this year. Last time it was the full length a Savage won the open seeding. #JustSaying.

Can't imagine at any level how there would be enough in it for any insurer to bother making the effort

 

You are just going to have to live dangerously and take the risk on yourself if you are brave enough to enter...

I'm still in two minds if I must renew my PPA membership for the year (btw, even after the threatening letter, it seems I'm still on their mailing list, as I still get mails from them  )

 

Only worry is that I will not get the "preferential early entry" as an non PPA member, even though I entered and collected my race pack for this years non event. Intrigued as how they are going to handle the entry process this year.
