For years it was the product's weight that was the determining factor, then the industry introduced us to aerodynamics. We chose our wheels according to depth, bladed spokes etc.

Loud hubs are actually the least efficient - all that noise makes you freewheel slightly slower...

Maybe check with EVo Bikes for some hopes. I bought a set a few years ago from them for a bargain over xmas.

I have a set of Novatechs as well, it is no way at all similar to hope, both in feel or sound. They are very far apart, but the novatechs are a decent quality.

Nope. CK Ringdrive is nothing like any other engagement mechanism out there. Some of the ECC freehubs are similar to the DT star ratchet, others are just standard pawl and drive ring designs.
