mmm R225 for 6. I'm sure it's nice but at my beer consumption rate I wouldn't have any money to feed my kids.

Bwahaha. I totally agree. The more I taste the thousands of Craft Beer making the rounds these days, the more I go back to Black Label beer. At R9 a beer, it still tastes better than 90% of craft beers out there

that's less than R40 per unit... about right for an imported beer. heck, even moerkoffie is R30+

A case of 24 Sol costs R300, and they're imported... But why drink imported beer when there's an abundance of options available fresh and local (and cheap)?

And is the same price as Coca-Cola(thought I'd spell that out...)

I have a craft beer occasionally at a restaurant and every time I regret spending that R40 to R45. Have made the decision to stick to the 'normal' stuff from now on.

Just got back from Amsterdam and if there's one thing I wish they start making here is Bock bier. Its a slightly lighter than a stout but packs a punch like one, its typically made in winter in the Netherlands if I'm correct.

1 Zambia mtb race had it's own 1 Zambia beer 2 years ago already.

If you were a real athlete you wouldn't be poisoning your body with alcohol at all.

You can be certain, some oke will sit with a silly little cycle cap on, with a stupid mustache, drinking his cycling beer next to his 200k (insert big name brand here) bike and be bragging about something(insert big name brand product here). Same guy will probably be sitting on a wattbike at gym mid week battling to output 150 watts while wearing full team gear, with phone and garmin recording the data because he is using is 10k cycling shoes and his own pedals he brought from home to the wattbike at gym.
