Shorts or Bib ?

I have been using shorts thus far, and no issues.

Went to buy another pair and the salesman made a very good argument for bibs ....

Would like to hear from those that have tried both.

Which do you use, and why ?

Bibs.

You lose the ease of toilet breaks, but the chamois stays put, the shorts don't pull down, and there's no crack on display..

I won't go back to shorts for anything other than an IDT ride.

Bibs always, the end.

Like most people I started out with shorts, my wife did too.

Once you buy the bibs you will most likely want to get rid of any shorts you have because you will never want to wear them again.

Bibs are cooler and certainly more comfy on long rides but I like shorts for that casual look if you are visiting someone/somewhere....(that is proper cycling shorts with the liner inside to it though! Not Mr Price rugby shorts...although as a kid its all I ever rode in really!)
