He told me that he spent half a day with Arianne and Annika teaching them how to plug, fix and change tyres and had them do it repeatedly until they were confident in their ability to do it in the race. Sometimes the pros don't know how to do these things. And changing a tyre can be extra hard when you are bleeding through your eyeballs.

you don;t want to know how many mens elites don;t know how to fix their own tyres. Helped at least ten of them in a stage race in 2017. they kinda just stand around looking confused
