babse Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Sort of related : a few years back we camped with Morne van Rensburg, at the time he was the mechanic for RECM. He told me that he spent half a day with Arianne and Annika teaching them how to plug, fix and change tyres and had them do it repeatedly until they were confident in their ability to do it in the race. Sometimes the pros don't know how to do these things. And changing a tyre can be extra hard when you are bleeding through your eyeballs.this
