I'm more worried about the part in the mail in the "Post-event info" section where they say, "After, put your bike in the "secure bike park" bla bla bla,

I have never and will never be comfi leaving my bike in a "secure bike park" as I always tend to find a post on bikehub post race of bikes being knicked from these very places.

Its insurred, done what he needs to do this year. Worst case, have 4 months to find a new bike.

Its a fenced off area with guards. Your bike number has to race the race number on your jersey to get out again. Or they give you a sticker or something. Its proper and trustworthy.

More so than leaving your bike in the car out on the streets.

I understand it's supposed to be safe and all the rest, But then again so is the bike park at the "Argus" and bikes go missing in the bike park without fail.

I do agree though, Will not be leaving the bike on any bike rack that's for sure.

It is easier to negotiate with my 4 year old about bath time and the number of "Treehouse Detectives" we'll be watching than it is to negotiate with the gate ooms and tannies.

I wanted to go into the bike park to put my helmet on my bike, but I was trying to go in via the exit. No amount of flattery, begging, or hissy fits got me anywhere.

Nope.

CSA organisation not very clued up, you physically cannot buy a day license even if you wanted to...

Have to laugh, you only buy a CSA license for your 6 riders who you think will podium the rest are fine.

I'm curious - which podiums are Pure Savage going for?

And that has to be a kiss of death - nominating the top 6 before a pedal has been turned in anger!

Just Sharing from 1 of my groups.. Wont be the worst thing this year to say say hi to Nibali or see him ride past me on the road...

Jan Frondeno (2x Kona winner. And best iroman on earth atm, current 70.3 world champ)

Daniella Ryf - current ladies ironman world champ and probably the greatest ladies ironman of all time.

Chris McCorrmack - The greatest ironman of all time. Record for most ironman wins. And multiple Kona wins.

Nino Schurter - Currently MTB world champion and multiple Cape Epic winner.

The Bronlee Brother - World champion Triathetes and Olympic gold medalists.

Oh and add Vincenzo Nibali to that. Grand tour rider, probably top 5 cyclist in the world atm.

The list goes on....and on and on.

I even hear they flying them all in to Swellendam on helicopters just to let everyone know who’s in town

Anyone aware of any other "big names" cycling this years DC?? Besides those Savage okes LOL...
