I have to agree, printing the actual word **** on the hub will see **** appear in it's place.

They need people to proofread before printing and I would expect that Bicycling missed this one, as they just did a copy/paste from the article.

The zap signs are also just lazy, doesn't add much to the article.

also, OP are you related to the owners of RIDE magazine as you share the surname?

Not related, no.

I can give your numerous examples of family rated movies and TV shows with swearing, sex and yes, zap signs. Like it or not... Welcome to the 21st century

At least there is a PG warning and or rating and you have mos set the parental control on the decoder and the PIN is not 0000..?1

Feeling rather apathetic...  I've stopped reading the Bicycling magazine a long time ago, not as much because I've noticed the "loss of values", but rather because I noticed a loss in value!

OP might or might not have a point, depending on moral values or lack thereof...

To each his own.

Same here.

Advocates slapping kids. Dislikes swear words in magazines. Interesting dynamic.

Did you notice I used comic sans for that part? No you did not..

Well, that's bikehub for you. OP states he took offence to something, gets flamed. I say I try to bring my kids up the right way, get flamed. And it's only Monday..

I haven't seen the mag. Is it still on the shelves?

Either way, I'll swap you my copy of the August 2007 edition of Loslyf....

Pointing out that (the rest of) the world is losing their ethical(?) righteous(?) compass does not mean we need to endorse it too.

Yup and in Victorian times things were also different. Shall we go back to dresses down to the ankles and start using proper English again. Don't confuse morals with being verbally expressive. I swear and I flip the bird...does not mean I am not a moral nor righteous person

Aren't you the online editor for the competitor or have I got that wrong?

I am an auditor IRL for a big 4. The person you are thinking of is no longer in their employ and is emigrating.

should terms like  "bike porn" be banned as well - have the magazines sealed in plastic like the good old days.

are you suggesting stars over the new XTR drive trains on bikes and any bikes with DVO suspension fitted?

yup, and definitely over the spoke nipples - unless we start a #freeThe Nip campaign - but for the sake of the children .... we shall sacrifice.

I don’t really care that much about this, glass houses and stuff. Since Kittel and Swift Have rocked up, i have had to start watching my language and now they getting older, the actual things I say...

At the moment, unless Thomas the tank or the paw patrol drops an F bomb my kids wouldn’t know. ????

You have to draw the line somewhere and I reckon the good olde fbomb is the right place.

It's banned right here on the hub and it should be in uncensored media print too.

If we let morals slide a little every day we won't end up in a happy place...
