There are heaps of companies 'out there' competing for their share of the Supplements Market, especially among the sporting fraternity.

Unfortunately there are many of these products which are well supported '...because we sponsor athletes'. So that means your products are physiologically effective and healthy???? Methinks: NOT!

When dealing with endurance athletes or extreme athletes, it's shocking to know what the body goes through and especially the toxic build-up that happens. Note: not all Anti Oxidants are created equal...

Here's a nice little kitty to place among a heap of pigeons: Does the company whose products you use do any PROPER SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AT ALL? By that I don't mean hiding a test-tube in a broom cupboard and labelling said broom cupboard 'Laboratory'.

I'm talking about Genuine Science, peer-reviewed papers, authenticated QC pre-, during- and post-production,

human trials and published results.

Peoples' opinions vary on the subject, peoples' opinions are swayed by 'bull**** science' and media hype, peoples' opinions are very often influenced by those who 'know it all, have heard it all'.

People cannot argue against Science!...but they try...!

So, this is a request to all the Supplement companies out there...Please provide valid, substantiated proof of the Science you've done to back up product claims. Thank you.

Just buy EPO and pray you not caught. :w00t:  :whistling:

Plenty of evidence to show it'll make you win races

Supplements, penis enlargement, hairloss prevention, life coaches, mineral water, Homeopathy, Chiropractors, and Overweight mamils on $$$ carbon bikes. Let people waste their money if they want to. Tomorrow there will be a new scam anyway.

There is no supplement for hard work.

Also, what is 'endurance'? Most people I know who race for more than 90 hours non stop don't use powders and gels.

We eat real food and avoid the stuff like the plague.

But check out USN's history. It answers a lot of your questions

You forgot to mention Sangomas and Himalayan Crystal Salt.

PS I liked the little dig there at Chiro's.

Makes me think back to an Eddie Izzard joke about them just wanting to "crack the bones to hear the click"

On a serious note to this topic... I don't use any supplements, but I will go out and buy some race mix product within my R250 budget. So cheapest product wins (usually some USN endurance mix)

Recently I've just gone out with some mix-a-drink in my water bottle, add some salt in there and chomp on Rennies while I ride.

Is EPO illegal? not even for medical conditions?

Whole food, plant-based diet - provides all the goodies you need and none that you don't.

not even B12?

I thought the Rennies thing died years ago... do people still use it...?
