Gen Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Yeah, but again, a split team. I'm almost certain they are a split camp regarding NQ and Landa. Which ever way we look at it, all the jersey races look like they are wide open this year. Even Nibbles on tired legs should be eyeing up yellow or Polka dot....And add Valverde to the mix..

Split teams can work. there just needs to be an appetite for managing the dented ego when someones legs fail. One thing I like about Valverde is that he's always willing to takeone for the team.Landa vs Quintana.......hmmmmm my money will be on Landa this time. He just seems to have the edge. So Quintana better turn up in the form of his life.
Zorro5614 Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 You need two stong guys in case of a crash or something mishap Nibali will probably be the stongest GC contender in the TT

dev null Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 Last year there were not so many crosswinds on the flatter stages in the first week.Maybe this year the winds will return to filter some GC riders out of the peloton.

Looking forward to some riveting winter afternoon viewingFor the riders sakes, I hope the heatwave calms down a bit. Even if it is a bit cooler as you go up in altitude. The current temps are brutal

Looking forward to some riveting winter afternoon viewing Amongst some other words that would be blocked or muted on here this is a line from a convo after the recon was done: "Iseran is brutal though. Climbs from 1700m to 2800m in 12km. With 2 x 1km flat sections so it makes Galibier a doddle"
