Just an observation, don't know if this is a problem that needs fixing:

I did a run this morning and it ended at 7.98km. On the activities page the summary states 7km... which is significantly different.

Can we maybe have an additional decimal number in the summary distance or at least round it if we can't have decimal places?

On the Activities page everything is rounded to the nearest km, however if you click on that activity you will have the exact distance

Not related to the website specifically, but more a tip for everyone (myself included) on how to structure our training sessiona:

On the last Fit File Podcast, they asked the coach of Rohan Dennis what is the number one mistake people make with their training.

His answer is that we simply don't do our easy days easy enough, which means we can't do our hard days hard enough.

Something we need to keep in mind.

"Just because you CAN ride hard on a a given day doesn't mean that you SHOULD."

I'm starting to get figure out I have no idea what I'm doing... but at least I'm having fun while doing it... so there's that...

Hey David,

Could you please explain the fitness page, or point me in the direction of where I can see what all the numbers mean there ie. fitness, fatigue and form.

Thanks!

The ? at the top of the page opens a box that explains it with links to articles. I am going to put some of that text back on the bottom of the page where it was before.

The /fitness page can now show weekly ramp rate (look for the checkbox in "Options"). This is the change in fitness during each calendar week. If it is positive, you are getting fitter. During recovery weeks it will be negative. If your ramp rate is too high you run the risk of becoming overtrained.

It now uses one decimal if the activity is less than 10km (or 10 miles). There isn't space for more on 800px wide screens.

Thanks, sorry for the extra work ;)

I like the implementation for shorter events like running and swimming where it has will have the biggest impact.

Hi David, the new ramp feature is gives a good insight to what I'm doing out there. How does this equate to load? And would showing graph of load be a benefit or would the graphs look identical?

The ramp rate is essentially the slope of the fitness (CTL) line but measured Monday to Monday each week. The load from each activity shows up in spikes in the fatigue (ATL) line. I did try little bars along the bottom of the chart (like Strava) but dropped them. They didn't add anything to an already complicated chart. There are little red dots on the fitness line for races and little snot coloured dots for sick/injured time.
