Yeah but then we promoting violence here? Do two wrongs make a right etc....

Not sure I'd expect someone else to take out the f*cking pig who just robbed me?? Damage to car, who takes the wrap etc....

Not sure where I am on this, had the f*cking coward been alone I would have taken a my chances with him alone on that road, I might not be the best fighter around but fitness has to count for something right? But because he's a coward and needs to roll with his posse he or someone in the crew might be armed.

I was thinking of that clip where the cyclist lashed out at the van, so the van drove him over.

What comes to mind here is pepper spray (lots of it!) and and to test the Tazer.  :whistling:

Great opportunity I think?

Glad he walked away though.

Just dont hang around for the police to arrive. I made this mistake a while back. Best is to spray and leave.

I had to hang around and  wait for the guy to recover,  after police dosed him with a neutrilzer. It came to a point where we were almost at blows and the police still did nothing to intervene.

Some special ops person witnessed everything fortunately, incl the behaviour of the officers. He took them all to task.

I reckon cleats will also make a right mess of his face.

Video I watched on my phone, is not all that clear, but this perp looked awfully "pale" to me, or is my eyesight failing me?

I don't want to be dumb, but... Why does this video seem really odd.

The only quick movement in the scene was how phenomenally quickly he stole the guys phone after falling on top of him - was it in his back pocket? Thereafter he just saunters off, the cyclist stands there - granted in shock, the perps car just eases out, has a chat(?) and idles away.

I'm not sure what I expected but this just seems surreal.

Truth is one doesn't know how one will react in a situation like this until one is in it unless one has training and some prior experience because when the adrenaline is surging rational man is not present and beast man is and beast either runs, freezes or attacks.

This cyclist looks a bit frozen - probably the best response - it's just a phone.

Doesn't stop us wishing that we could see this horrible coward get his come uppance.

So tired of the endless endless crime.

Why is the CCTV footage so shaky ? Camera attached to a tree branch or something ?

Something is off about this whole thing

I read somewhere that a recording was made of the cctv footage with a cell phone.  So it is the guy holding the cell phone shaking.  Nothing off about it.

This just pisses me off! Saw the video earlier today.

The lowlife scum piece of *** doesn't even bother to run away instead just casually walks off. I suppose the victim and the driver that stopped (I'm going to struggle to say this) did the right thing as it's just a phone and your life is worth more than that.

Is this right though? Should we just be handing over our items that we pay for? This is certainly the attitude that the perp has and also the fuzz, they don't even bother to investigate anymore. They've now narrowed down their role in these cases. They need to provide you with a case number allowing you to claim....

THIS^^ is exactly my gripe with the state of law in this country.

It amazes me how quickly someone is apprehended when there has been a murder.

It almost makes the police look competent.

But anything less than murder, you can forget about it.

Just grab your case number and claim from insurance.

This seems to be how things are rolling these days.

because CCTV DVR don't work with simple formats like Avi or mpg it is just easier to record with a phone.

Uhmmm .... correction ... these thugs have never been afraid!

I got bliksemed off my bike with a plank almost 10years ago, after surgery and 4 days in hospital I had some new scars on myself and on my bike.

Rule 1 of fight club ... never underestimate your enemy.

Rule 2,  never talk about fight club. ;)

True that!

Problem is, sometimes you don't even get a chance to react.

Here I was, always thinking that these fekkers would not try their luck on a 6ft2 100kg boer seuntjie.  This is where I learned rule 1 of fight club as stated in the previous reply, the hard way.

I did not even see them coming, next thing I knew, two oaks in front of me, I tried to "side step" and Bang I got smacked on the the back of my head below my helmet, ear split open.

I tried keeping my balance but after about two more pedal stokes, I felt the lights go out and hit the deck, hard.  They came running closer with me still somewhere in the road, one had a screwdriver in his hand, the other a long wooden plank.  I dont think I even tried to get up, I just put my hands in the air and said take whatever you want.

Rule 1 of fight club, never underestimate your enemy!

(It does help a little if you see them coming though!)
