Boy have we been battling as well.

 

In the middle of an interview. As in we have met and talking, when it came to hours required to work, they simply got up and walked away and said no longer interested.

 

There are loads of jobs available, just a shortage of people willing to work.

 

At another interview when we offered any questions you have for us, the millennial asked us if we could explain why they should work for us. I was dumbfounded!

At the company I work for, we have a training department, who takes school finishers and trains them to do what is needed. 

Our 2 flagship programs require them to write the industry board exams to qualify. So when they leave, they have a qualification. 

 

We offer a number of other programs as well, but it is not accredited. We train about 120 people per year(They are being paid to study).

 

Staff retention is so bad that the company brought in Deloyed to find out what is wrong. 

 

Back to the interviews, for those 120 positions, we get about 5000 application that need to be sorted. On quite a regular basis in the interview we will ask them if they know what they applied for. A shocking number of them have no idea. Just completed the application form and delivered it to us. 

 

And it is shocking how few of them actually reads the requirements.

Can believe that. Seems to be a certain level of expectation these days.

Put out a vacancy for a floor sales position. The number of calls received expecting a mangerial position. Well the title and salary, but not so much the responsibility.

Should I ever need to maintain a rock hard member for an extended period of time I will use all of the advise given to me above. Once again.. The hub comes to the rescue.

2 of the companies I have worked for have been the subject of those Deloitte investigations. They are worth nothing.

Deloitte audited Tongaat Hulett and Steinhoff. They have no credibility left.

I just keep conflating that member and that toe... After 9 hours, anyway...
