Correct me if I am wrong, but unless I am very much mistaken, you are advocating that Donnie Darko is about to save the world!?

If that’s what you took from that then many corrections are needed. But if he nukes Rocketman and starts a war, I am 100% certain that fewer people will be getting fired for having differing views on transgender athletes on social media.

Amen, brother.

And he seems to be motivated by an overweight oke who ran himself into peeing blood and hairline fracturing his legs...

But then says that to prepare, he is going to rather stop running for a few days until the symptoms clear...

As context the “overweight” oke was an active Navy Seal at the time and had almost no body fat, just a lot of bulky muscle. Not quite the picture he paints of a fat dude deciding to run 100 miles

Boy have we been battling as well.

In the middle of an interview. As in we have met and talking, when it came to hours required to work, they simply got up and walked away and said no longer interested.

There are loads of jobs available, just a shortage of people willing to work.

At another interview when we offered any questions you have for us, the millennial asked us if we could explain why they should work for us. I was dumbfounded!

To be fair, I always try and use an interview as a two way convo to allow me to make a decision about whether the company is worth joining or not. Although maybe not a good idea at entry level

To provide even more context. I am overweight. I could actually quite comfortably use Vettes' avatar. I tried "running" on the treadmill a couple weeks ago.

My knees were vloeking me. So were my ankles. And my calves, as well as blooming well everything else.

But this laaitie is not vet like me. Still, running a record halfie with zero miles in your legs from running apart from a 6 week "training stint which consists of sitting out any difficulty"....good luck with that I say.

Exactly. Anyone who knows Goggins' story knows that when he ran Badwater he was a fit AF SEAL.

Im so lost trying to follow this fred...

I am looking forward to seeing a non-runner try and run that pace though, the injuries are going to be glorious.

Although my prediction is ~5ks and then he realizes that he is off pace and quits because its not worth doing at all if he cant get the time.

I think, in my non-expert opinion, that he may have the aerobic base/VO2/whatever to pull this off, but his lack of conditioning will probably be his undoing.

Not sure why you are dumbfounded. It is a good question and one that I welcome because I have to sell the company to the potential employee

Kranswurm making a positive post that I agree with.

Yup that is exactly where the problem lies, very fit cyclists that try running almost always pick up injuries. When you start running from an until state then your fitness limits early distances and gives your body a chance to get used to them.

Its a different deal when you carry fitness from any other sport into running.

I agree if you are head hunted. So then it is all about what the company can offer you, or incentivise you.

But when you made an application for an interview and it is only round one, perhaps a better question would be what perks form part of the package on offer. Not why they should work for us.

They are offering their skills to us, not "our" skills to them. I selected your CV to come into the interview.  So asking me to explain to them why they should come work for us, still leaves me dumbfounded.

Times are changing my man....

I actually popped my head in the clinic a few days ago to ask why I should come work there.
