Usually in my experience the larger the group the less surging, then it is usually safe & uneventful at the back (excluding the climbs)

Wonder if Pure Savage will be starting again in the middle of the field somewhere disrupting everybody in front of them

Only one or two of us are starting in 2A, a few have dropped back to the MPB for a jol.

Seeded $ starting 2A.

1 part mince pies and no riding for 3 weeks, 1 part I have seen the okes flying at WP champs, 1 part slightly different goal for Cycle Tour this year so need to improve other people's seedings.

The more wind, the better!!!

There will be plenty savages in $ and %.

I'm dreading Sunday. Last half going to be spent in the gutter and dodging oncoming cars with the other dudes riding super strong after WP champs while I've just been kitesurfing and drinking beer.

At what speed will the group be climbing Hels?

Some guys have told me the pace is hot from the start, others said easy pace.

2A too.

also on the xmas xcess xcape program.

my battle plan is to try and handle helshoogte without blowing a gasket or needing a tactical chunder.

Hopefully still see some skinny guys up ahead as we come round to Delaire/old helshoogte turnoff.

then valentino rossi it on the downhill and catch them up.

then wheelsuck for 90km.

what could possibly go wrong?

As fast as my old man can climb! Everyone normally goes balls to the walls to hang on to their start group.

Should be a breeze for you  :whistling:

Not when I'm tipping the scale +70kg,

quick calculation if I want to make it over with $, i'll need to push +350Watts for +-10mins and that is never going to happen, so I'll mentally prepare myself to get dropped, hopefully there are others in my boat that can chase back on the descent. The catch is usually made after the left or right turn depending on which way we are going this year.
